What is CARF . . .
Placement

This program, offered mostly by referral, is a comprehensive job development program designed to meet the specific needs of individuals seeking employment. The curriculum includes career goal defining, resume preparation, application completion and interviewing. An emphasis is placed on providing all the supports necessary in obtaining and retaining competitive employment.
 
Goodwill staff members are First Aid and CPR certified. Goodwill staff participate in a minimum of 10 hours of inservice training each year in areas including but not limited to diversity, working with individuals with disabilities, non-violent crisis intervention, bloodborne pathogens, workplace violence, drug-free workplace, and emergency drill procedures.
 
Job Developer must have a Bachelor's Degree in Business education, Psychology, a vocationally oriented field or a minimum of three years of experience in placing persons with disabilities into competitive employment.
