Goodwill
Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. has been accredited
by CARF the Commission on Accreditation of
Rehabilitation Facilities for a period of three
years for Employment Services: Community Employment Services: Job Development
and Job-Site Training.
CARF, whose mission is to promote
the quality, value and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative
accreditation process that centers on enhancing the lives of the persons
served, last surveyed and awarded Goodwill a three-year accreditation (the
highest level) in 2007.
In addition
to receiving the three-year accreditation, which will extend through February
2013, the surveyors noted a multitude of strengths for Goodwill in many
areas. For example, the active
involvement of Goodwill's board of directors; the dedication of leadership to
growth and excellence; the dedication and innovation of staff members to
provide services and create employment opportunities for persons served; the
commitment of the organization to health and safety; and more.
"We are
both pleased and honored to have received another three-year accreditation from
CARF," said Ken Weber, President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater
Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. "It is a rigorous process of evaluation, and we are proud that our
programs and services meet such high standards."
